Basketball at HPE – Grade 5 students
We are excited to be able to offer some basketball sessions for our students in grade 5 over lunch on Mondays and Wednesdays 11:35 – 12:05. Depending on interest, we may be able to include some grade 4s. All participating students must demonstrate respectful, responsible and safe behaviours.
We have confirmed a couple volunteer coaches who also coach teams at PVSS and Len Wood. We welcome Krystal Fergus and Jacqui Gingras. Mrs. Cull or Mr. Hazlewood will be the sponsor teachers for this opportunity.
A notice will be send home with students on Monday, January 6th. We ask that you please indicate interest on the form and return the form to school on Tuesday, January 7th in time for our first session on Wednesday, January 8th. It is expected that interested students attend each session offered so they develop their skills together as a team. At this level, our goal is to provide an introduction to the sport. We are looking into the possibility of some scrimmages and if they occur after school, you will be notified.
