Class Placement Update
We have had a very successful start of school. After weeks of preparing, it was an amazing feeling to have students in our building. Their excitement and energy filled our classrooms and hallways as they reconnected with staff and classmates. Today was the very first day of school for our new kindergarten students and their anticipation of this new adventure is always a highlight for me.
While we have welcomed several new families to our school, many families have moved. Our enrollment is being closely monitored by the district. Our school configuration will be confirmed by district staff on Friday afternoon. While we were hoping to start transitioning students to their new class placement this week, it is looking like this process will happen early next week. I realize that students are very eager (and staff too) to get going with their new classes. However, waiting until we have a definitive number of divisions will prevent multiple moves for children which can be problematic for settling in. Thank you for your patience and understanding. On Monday, students will return to their last year’s classrooms and we look forward to providing you an update as soon as we know more.
