Important Reminders
1. Winter Concert – We are excited to welcome families to our Winter Concert tomorrow, December 12th.
8:30 am for students in Mr. Vallance, Mr. Byrnes, Mr. Benge and Mr. Hazlewood’s class.
10:00 am for students in Ms. Fassbender, Ms. Kalf, Ms. Coombs, Ms. Daughtry and Ms. Brandoli/Ms. Scott
12:45 pm for students in Ms. Sandberg, Ms. Myhre, Ms. Cooper/Ms. Scott, Ms. Dolinar, and Ms. Terrell
Students in grade 5 have been asked to wear ALL BLACK and no logos.
Mr. Hazlewood’s class has been asked to wear white top and black/dark bottoms.
Mr. Benge’s class has been asked to wear ugly Christmas Sweaters.
Students in Ms. Fassbender, Ms. Kalf, Ms. Coombs, Ms. Daughtry and Ms. Brandoli/Ms. Scott have been asked to wear “cozy clothes” – fuzzy, cozy sweaters, etc.
Students in Ms. Sandberg, Ms. Myhre, Ms. Cooper/Ms. Scott, Ms. Dolinar, and Ms. Terrell have been asked to wear colours to support the theme of snow, snowflakes and snowmen – white, grey, light blue, sparkly, etc.
Families can bring non perishable food bank donations in support of our annual food drive to the concert. If you’d like to include it as part of your child’s class’ food collection contest, please ensure the food items are in a labeled bag. You can find more information about the food drive competition among our classrooms in our Newsletter #5.
Families will be asked to arrive in time to find a chair and get settled before the concert start time and enter and exit through the gymnasium entrance directly from outside at the back of the school. Thank you.
2. Winter Recreation at Silver Star Mountain for Grade 4 and 5 only – Registration due Monday, December 16th. Please CLICK HERE for more information. The office will have lap tops available to support the registration process on our concert day.
3. Friday, December 13th is the last Day for parents to Register for Numeracy Night (January 8th 6:00 – 7:15 pm at AES).
4. On Friday, December 13th Mr. Benge is hosting a chess tournament for students involved in chess club (Grade 3-5).
4. On Tuesday, December 17th the First formal Written Learning Update will be available on the MyEd Family portal for viewing by 3 pm. Copies will be sent home Tuesday, December 17th or Wednesday, December 18th. If you have questions about your child’s progress or program, please contact your child’s classroom teacher.
5. Thursday, December 19th – HPE School Spirit Day, Who Ville Day
6. Friday, December 20th – HPE School Spirit Day, Pajama Day
